They Don't Know Where Your Going
Past President of the National Speakers Association Mike McKinley always
says, 'Do not worry about minor mistakes when you are presenting. The
audience does not know what you are supposed to say.' This is an important
lesson to remember when your practicing what you learned in your
public speaking course.
It will make little difference if you forget to mention something as
long as you have planned with good material.
It will however make a BIG difference if you get so upset because you
left something out that you start a domino effect of additional mistakes
and omissions.
Using what you learned from your public speaking course involves rolling with the punches,
adapting and adjusting, always attentive to your audience needs.
